Rombi Wardrobe Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Rombi Wardrobe (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use
our mobile app and API at wardrobeapi.rombi.in. This is product documentation that matches
how the service works today; it is not formal legal advice.
1. Who we are
Rombi Wardrobe is a personal styling app. Account sign-in is provided through Auth0 and may be shared with other Rombi products (for example Rombi Productivity) on the same Auth0 tenant.
2. Information we collect
- Account identifiers from Auth0 (such as a unique Auth0 user id, and username or email claims Auth0 provides).
- Style profile you set or we derive (gender, body shape, skin-tone attributes, season palette, recommended/avoid colors, notes).
- Wardrobe item data (names, categories, colors, tags, seasons, notes) and wardrobe photos of clothing you upload or capture.
- Temporary scan images while AI detects garments from a closet or item photo (discarded when you leave the scan unfinished or delete the scan).
- Technical data needed to run the API (authenticated requests, standard server logs).
3. Face photos and sensitive imagery
For color matching, you may capture a face photo. That image is uploaded to our servers and sent to a third-party vision AI provider (Anthropic and/or OpenAI, depending on server configuration) to estimate skin tone and flattering colors. We do not keep the face photo after analysis — only the derived style attributes are saved to your profile. Any face images left from older app versions are removed when you scan again or when you delete your Wardrobe account.
4. Wardrobe photos and AI processing
When you add clothes, photos are uploaded to our servers. We use third-party AI to detect garments (Anthropic and/or OpenAI) and may send crop images to Google Gemini to enhance product-style images. Confirmed wardrobe item photos are stored on our servers so you can browse and get outfit recommendations. Outfit recommendations use item metadata and your style profile (not a new face photo).
5. Third parties
- Auth0 — authentication and account identity.
- Anthropic / OpenAI — vision and text AI for face color analysis, garment detection, and recommendations (as configured).
- Google Gemini — optional enhancement of wardrobe garment crop images.
- Hosting / infrastructure providers that run our API and storage.
These providers process data only as needed to provide the features above, under our instructions and their own terms and privacy policies.
6. How we use information
- Provide and improve wardrobe inventory, style profile, and outfit suggestions.
- Authenticate you and protect the service.
- Comply with law and respond to valid requests where required.
We do not sell your personal information.
7. Retention and deletion
Wardrobe photos and profile data remain until you delete them or delete your Wardrobe account in the app (Profile → Delete Account). That removes your Wardrobe user record, wardrobe items, and stored images on our API. Your Auth0 login may still exist for other Rombi products; signing into Wardrobe again creates a new empty Wardrobe account.
8. Permissions on your device
The app may request camera and photo library access so you can capture or choose images. We do not request microphone access.
9. Children
Rombi Wardrobe is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by local law). Do not use the app if you are under that age.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
